Apex Specialized Recreation

APEX SPECIALIZED RECREATION

Apex Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources (APRCR) welcomes the participation of individuals of all abilities and ages. Apex Specialized Recreation programs are specifically designed to meet the interests of individuals with disabilities. Program offerings are in art, fitness, recreation sports, performing arts, social gatherings and special events. To request more information about Specialized Recreation programs please fill out this form.

Inclusion Services

We are committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate in quality recreation, explore interests, and build meaningful community connections in a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment. APRCR provides accessible programs, services, facilities, and reasonable ADA modifications—such as auxiliary aids, adaptive equipment, or additional support—to ensure individuals of all abilities can fully participate, without fundamentally altering programs. Participants who may need accommodations are encouraged to notify staff at registration or at least two weeks before a program begins when possible. When requesting an accommodation, please email Emily.Saunders@apexnc.org with the participant name, program attending, and your request. To learn more about Inclusion Services, click here.
