Solar Panel Installation on Town Facilities

To establish Apex as a regional leader in clean energy production, the Apex Town Council made a commitment to become a SolSmart-designated community in 2019 and struck gold, achieving a SolSmart Gold level designation and distinguishing Apex as a leader in solar energy solutions.

The town installed nine roof-top solar panels on government buildings including Fire Stations and Public Works facilities, providing an annual savings of about $141,000 in electric costs
