Regional Routes

There are three regional routes operated by transit partners that serve the Town of Apex. Read more to learn about the GoCary Route 9 (service between Apex and Cary), GoTriangle Route 305 (service between Apex, Holly Springs, and Raleigh), and GoTriangle Route 311 (service between Apex and RTP).

GoCary Route 9:

Apex to Cary

Service Hours & Frequency:

  • Monday - Saturday: Every 30 minutes from 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM and hourly from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
  • Sunday: Hourly from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM.
Destinations Served: 
  • Downtown Cary
  • Downtown Apex
  • Dorcas Square

GoTriangle Route 305:

 Raleigh - Apex - Holly Springs

  • Days of Operation: Monday - Sunday
  • Hours of Operation: Approx. 6:00 AM - 9:30 PM on Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM on Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM on Sunday
  • Frequency: Hourly
  • Destinations Served: Main St at Center St (Holly Springs) - Select Trips Only, Sportsmanship Way at Ting Park (Park-and-Ride) - Select Trips Only, Hughes St at Williams St, Lake Pine Plaza (Park-and Ride), Tryon Rd at Kildaire Farm Rd (WakeMed Cary), NC State, and GoRaleigh Station and others, see map and link for details.

GoTriangle Route 311 - Not in Service

Apex to RTP

  • Days of Operation: Monday - Friday 
  • Hours of Operation: Mornings (approx.) 5:45 AM - 9:15 AM, Afternoons (approx.) 3:3
  • Frequency: Approximately 1 hour  
  • Destinations Served: Compare Foods Park-and-Ride, Lake Pine Plaza Park-and-Ride, Research Triangle Park, GoTriangle Regional Transit Center
