Usher in Spring with this delightful program of music for voice and clarinet. Includes Schubert’s beloved The Shepherd on the Rock and selections from Ricky Ian Gordon’s critically acclaimed Orpheus and Euridice, a new setting of the famous Greek myth. Featuring local artists soprano Jennifer Paschal and clarinetist Angela Bloemeke.

Folk Tunes Revisited

Tickets: $12-Adult, $10-seniors/students, FREE for children 12 and under.
The musicians will explore the classic folk tunes in new forms. Featured works include Air and Simple Gifts (premiered for President Obama’s second inaugural event) arranged by John Williams for violin, cello, clarinet and piano, Theme and Variations on “Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen” written and arranged by Milton Bliss for clarinet quartet; as well as several of Harbison’s arrangements of “Songs America Loves to Sing” for flute, clarinet, violin and cello.
