Trackside Skate Plaza CLOSED for Maintenance
Friday, October 14, 8am - 5pm The Trackside Skate Plaza will be closed Friday, October 14th, 2016 from 8am to 5pm for scheduled maintenance. The park will reopen shortly afterwards.
Located between, and named after, the 2 rail lines that run through downtown Apex, Trackside is a 13,000 square foot, 4 tiered, skate plaza which mimics street skating conditions and also includes competition skateboarding elements.
Citizens for Apex Parks (CAPS) is still accepting private donations to fund some of the extra features at the park such as the performance pavilion with solar powered charging stations. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Skate Plaza Rules
Keeping safety as our first priority, the following rules apply to the use of the skate plaza. Read the full ordinance.
Town of Apex Ordinance Section 15-10 requires all persons skating or riding within the Skate Plaza to wear the following protective equipment: Protective helmet with securely fastened chin strap, Protective elbow pads, Protective knee pads
Failure to wear the required protective equipment when skating may result in serious bodily injury and violators may be subject to a $25.00 fine pursuant to G.S. 14-4 and/or banned from using the facility under penalty of trespass.
Skaters 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult to use the facility
Only skateboards, inline skates, and scooters with wheels less than 5 inches in diameter are permitted. Bicycles, roller skates, and other similar methods of conveyance are prohibited.
Skate Plaza hours of operation are 6 am - midnight.
Graffiti, controlled substances of any kind, and rough play are prohibited
