Welcome to the Town of Apex. We are so glad you have chosen to call Apex home. Here is some information that we felt may help make your move to a new home easier and answer a few questions you may already have. As always you can check out our website at www.apexnc.org for information about all Town services including Parks & Recreation. After you have settled in, if you haven't discovered our downtown area check out Salem Street for lots of shopping and dining.

Start Utility Services
Moving into a new house the electric, water, sewer and trash and recycling may be in your builders name. You will need to get those services in your name to avoid disconnection. Please go online to www.apexnc.org/connect for additional
information and to connect utilities. The Customer Service Department is available for questions at 919-362-8676.

Power Outage
In the event you experience a power outage the best way to report an issue is through our outage app or text messaging system. 

To use the Outage App you will need your Town of Apex utility account number to set up your services in the app after downloading. For more information go to www.apexnc.org/outage

To you the Texting system your cell phone number will need to be on your account with the billing department.  You should be auto-enrolled. if you did not receive a welcome message from 919-372-7475 you will want to update your information with our Finance and Customer Service Department at 919-362-8676. Once you have updated your number you will be able to text us an outage the next business day.  

When you have a power outage pick up you phone and text OUT to 919-372-7475. You will also receive updates such as restoration times and cause of outage and you will receive a restoration text as well.

Electric Utilities
The Town of Apex owns and operates its own electric system that supplies power to over 24,000 residential andcommercial customers. The Electric Department is a community-owned utility, providing reliable, safe and high quality services focused on our customers. Water or Sewer Emergency

In the event you experience a water /sewer emergency the best way to report an issue is through our outage app.

Water/Sewer Utilities
The odd/even irrigation schedule for all Apex water customers is enforceable year-round. For more information about water and sewer utilities please go to www.apexnc.org/watersewer

Garbage, Recycling & Yard Waste
Garbage and Recycling - GFL (formerly Waste Industries) is contracted by the town to provide weekly household garbage and recycling collection.

Yard Waste - The Town of Apex Public Works Department provides weekly curbside yard waste collection.  

You can download the ApexCollects app to find your trash, recycling and yard waste pickup days, get alerts and reminders as well as report issues.
