Kids in Parks TRACK Trail
StoryWalk® at the Park
We are excited to introduce StoryWalk® to Apex! You can read a provided children's book as you walk along a short trail. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
CURRENT LOCATIONS (as of 6/11/21):
Book 1: Salem Pond Park. This trail around the pond is about 1/2 mile paved path.
Book 2: Apex Community Park, near the large shelter. This trail is short but unpaved.
Book 1: Little Blue Truck
Book 2: Mucky Truck *sponsored by Macmillan Children's Publishing Group
If you have already done one of our Storywalks®, we would love for you to share your feedback here. We typically keep our books up for about a month at each location. We will update the webpage here as soon as changes are made.
